Julius Bokor graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Architect. He initially worked with Sabemo/Transfield to learn the practical side of design and building construction. He then spent time in Rome working for TAC [a firm established by Walter Gropius]. His understanding of and interest in the genesis and development of cities, was born in Rome.
Returning to Sydney he taught for some years before establishing his own practice in 1980. It was then that he was able to develop his unique style based on his belief that building design is influenced by technology, materials and cultural values. Julius is interested in the ideas that generate cities and buildings and make them pleasurable.
Julius does not believe in style but in design integrity. The design and building form is generated by a complete understanding of the brief.
