bokor architecture + interiors teamed up with Evolve Construction for the design and construction of a childcare centre and pre-school for the Green Elephant Early Learning Centres Group.

bokor designed and documented a sophisticated environment for babies and young children that incorporates domestic elements that would not normally be associated with a childcare centre. The results are spaces with contemporary finishes and furniture in natural timbers, comfortable zones for parents to relax and meet, and play areas that reflect the philosophies of the client. 

The philosophy at The Green Elephant is to foster an environment that is family orientated, nurturing, warm and safe and bokor have reflected these principles in the design, the furniture  and the finishes. The layout of the centre reflects the philosophy of providing individual and group learning experiences in a fun and stimulating environment. Spaces for families to interact and relax have been incuded as part of the design.

The resulting atmosphere is a vibrant one with the soundtrack of laughter, joy, happiness, excitement and individuality.
