Kosciusko Alpine Club
Perisher Valley NSW

bokor architecture + interiors were invited to upgrade and extend an existing ski lodge for the Kosciusko Alpine Club in the Snowy Mountains, Mount Kosciusko National Park. This included the complex approval process through National Parks, NSW Planning and Council’s Alpine Resort requirements.

The exterior was upgraded with a new roof and cladding of miniorb corrugated metal. This system was detailed to allow space for the required thermal upgrades to take place on the outside of the building so not impacting on the size of the interior rooms. This cladding and façade treatment also acted to homogenise the exterior of the building and tie together the disparate parts from the previous upgrades.

Internally the building was gutted and much of the original structure was retained. New ensuites were provided to each bedroom and a revitalised lounge, bar and dining room together with back of house facilities all contribute to the feeling of a new and exciting building for both staff and lodge members.
