Plush Sofa Stores, VIC

bokor architecture + interiors were engaged by Plush Sofas to prepare a concept layout plan for the new Richmond and Springvale stores in Victoria.

The fit-out at Richmond has gone into a contemporary, open plan showroom that features an exposed ceiling, modern track lighting, large floor to ceiling windows that wrap around most of the showroom, filling the showroom with a bountiful amount of natural lighting to showcase the sofas. The space feels airy and light, with way-finding that creates a sense of mystery.

Through careful planning, customers are guided through each room set with consideration to eyeline and point of destination. With dedicated zones, such as the ‘Home Theatre’ zone, where the comfy recliners can be tested, the store is strategic in its efforts to easily guide customers through. As with all Plush showrooms, the stores feature a design workshop space complete with custom joinery for the leather and fabric swatches, as well as a large, high table for collaboration. The feature louvre walls create distinguished room sets that offer a peek into the next setting to reveal more product.
