Sephora, Karrinyup

bokor architecture + interiors were delighted to be a part of the first ever Sephora store in Karrinyup, Western Australia. The store offers an exciting showcase of much-loved beauty and care products, in a vibrant array of displays. The focus is by having Black, White and Red as main colours throughout the whole store, with a number of tech options added to regular fixtures and lighting that together grab and attract to the display products and allow them to personalise their experience by allowing shoppers to try a sample of fragrance via touchscreen and scented air.

The inspiration, considering being digital first with a touch of innovation, was drawn from the spectacular and classic colour found in the marketing concept and when recreating such intense colours in a practical and functional fit out that involves and invites customers to discover more inside, not only from the façade but also as walking through the floor with ambient light effects. The bokor team of skilled architects and designers together with consultants, certifiers, builder and project managers faced a few challenges and proposed clever solutions in order to create an immersive swirl as a resulting effect that almost moves our bodies from our eyes and expectations.
